Tharna after the abducation of Lara, was temporarily ruled by a council. The people then uprising again, needing a figurehead, petitioned the council for a ruler, a new Tatrix. The council hearing the needs of the People and their desires, laid the golden mask at the feet of Kateryn of Tharna, a legal scribe, to impart herself in this duty to her city. Kateryn in honor of the city, and of love of its people accepted the golden mask, the symbol of the Tatrix and sat upon the curule chair.

The council not yet satisfied petitioned the new Tatrix to set up a successor, that if anything should happen to the Tatrix the successor should assend the chair and Herself become Tatrix. Kateryn chose Her Sister Laecheln to become successor.

After adjusting to her new position Kateryn set about swearing in a First Sword and finding slaves to serve the Free.

A few days ago Hein swore fealty to the Home Stone and was declared First Sword.

After the Home Stone Ceremony, during the celebration a kajira came and He used her... right in front of the Tatrix, well He didn't enter her but she served Him orally... at that point the Tatrix started drinking. The night ends when the Tatrix is so drunk she nearly joins them, falling off the chair and snuggling on the floor near them.
The FS covers up the Tatrix and leaves her to her slumber.
The following day again the FS torments the hell out of the Tatrix and leaves her, He goes to take a bath, during His bath, and subsequent romp with the bath girls, the Tatrix goes out unescorted into the streets of Tharna.
In a fit of jealousy she can't concentrate on the haggling and ends up paying way too much for a vial of slave perfume.
At the next vendor She is recognized and at that point she notices she is being followed by assassins.
She goes on and purchases several other items, still being followed she makes her way to the cloth merchant. Arranging a private audience in the future with the cloth merchant to come to the palace to show her various cloths in private.
She then hurriedly, because she is without escort and being followed makes her way back to the palace.
When she gets there she starts drinking... again.
The FS having finished His bath comes and looks for her. Finds her drunk in her chambers
The FS ignites the fires inside the Tatrix but before they can get to far, there was a shout and a pounding on the door.
The FS leaves her hot on her sleeping couch as He goes to investigate, when He returns He informs her that apparently the perfumer was killed by the assassins. The FW who hired the assassins is unknown, but that the magistrate had been called to investigate. The perfumer apparently had been selling information on which FW were buying slave perfumes. A list was given to the magistrate, with the merchants customer list, but mysteriously the bottom portion of the list had been torn off.
